Gutters and rain pipes

Leaking gutters are a major cause of damp as water can run down onto the wall and penetrate into the fabric. Leaks can occur through perforated gutters or faulty joints. The problem can be compounded when gutters become blocked for instance by leaves. Another key factor is ensuring the correct slope to the gutters so that water flows into the rain pipes and does not stagnate.

Insulating an integral garage

In a typical house the walls will lose the most heat, up to 40%, followed by ceilings which lose around 25%. If your house has an integral garage and was built during the 60s and 70s, chances are that adjoining ceilings and walls will not be insulated. If you have a bedroom above your garage, this room is likely to be much cooler than the rest of your home due to this lack of insulation. The garage walls will also suffer from this problem, leaving adjoining rooms colder.

How can Pioneer help?

Our insulation experts will add one of a variety of insulation materials to the walls and ceiling of the garage using methods that are best suited to the style and structure of your house. As well as making your house feel warmer and more comfortable, insulating your home is one of the best things you can do to reduce your energy bills.
